Meet Koda! This sweet puppy is a 5-month-old Shepherd/Husky mix, weighing around 27 lbs as of early October. With her mother, Alaska, being a Husky mix with signature blue eyes, Koda has some of that charming look but not the typical high energy often associated with Huskies, making her a great choice for those who prefer a calmer canine companion. Koda's personality is a delightful blend of playful and cuddly. She's the more laid-back one compared to her sibling, Nova. Currently fostered with several dogs, she gets along famously with them and enjoys running around the yard, or simply lounging with her human friends. Koda shows no interest in chasing the resident cat, proving she's adaptable. Socialized with both men and women, Koda is friendly and affectionate. Though she hasn't yet met children in her foster care, we believe she would be excellent with them. She's doing well with leash training and is completely housetrained—no accidents in her foster home. Her journey started when a caring Puerto Rican animal advocate found Koda and her family on a busy road, at risk of being hurt. They were quickly brought into a safe environment where they've thrived. Koda is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever home. Interested adopters can schedule a virtual meet-and-greet with her rescuer. **Important Note:** Koda is currently in Puerto Rico but will fly to her new home once adopted.
