About Jewel

Meet Jewel! Jewel is a 6 to 7-year-old Shepherd mix with a heartwarming story. She came to us as a stray, underweight and shy, but her spirit is unbreakable. Jewel has slowly learned to trust people, showing off her sweet personality. Despite missing one eye, this brave girl doesn't let that hold her back. Each day, she gains a bit more confidence and weight, revealing just how wonderful she can be. Jewel thrives on treats and enjoys strolls, showing good leash manners and even improving her car rides. She’s been social with other friendly dogs, but a meet-and-greet will be necessary for households with resident pets. She still has some healing to do, and once she’s at a healthy weight, she’ll be spayed and ready for adoption. With the right family, full of patience and love, Jewel is poised to become an incredible companion. Could you be the person she’s been waiting for? Come meet this resilient pup today at the Bisbee Animal Shelter, where we're open 7 days a week from 10am to 2pm. Click apply to start the adoption process.
