David is an 8-year-old male mixed-breed dog, large in size, weighing 95 lbs. He has an affectionate nature and is up to date on vaccinations. Living in Ridgewood, NY, David is a lovable senior with a personality that shines through his gentle demeanor. He’s looking for a cozy spot to call home, where he can enjoy a relaxed life and perhaps shed a few pounds with a caring adopter.

About David

David is a gentle giant, weighing in at 95 pounds. He was found abandoned in Brooklyn, tied up and alone, but he’s certainly a big softie at heart. A volunteer shared that he might be more of a Goliath than a David, given his size and his lovable, mushy demeanor. The police noted that he can be a bit stubborn, especially when it comes to getting into a crate. Instead, he prefers to ride freely in the back seat of a patrol car, showing off his cleverness as he requests treats along the way. However, his large stature coupled with his age indicates he is on the early side of seniorhood and needs a little help with his weight. Since arriving, David has been a bit hesitant with handling, so he’s currently available for fostering through a rescue partner. While he hasn’t been assessed with other dogs, he has remained uninterested when around them. David is looking for a caring home where he can relax and be loved fully.
