Meet Collin! Collin is a charming young pup with a bright future ahead, eagerly waiting for his forever family. At about 5 to 5.5 months old, he currently weighs around 20 to 25 lbs, and we estimate he will grow to about 50 to 60 lbs as an adult. While we suspect he is a Hound mix, his exact breed is a bit of a mystery without a DNA test. Collin was discovered wandering alone and brought to the shelter by animal control. Unfortunately, no one came for him, and he's been waiting for a second chance since September, alongside his brother. Typical for puppies, Collin is playful and curious, soaking up new experiences. He will thrive in a patient household that offers him structure while he learns about home life. Expect to help him with potty training, basic commands, and building his social skills. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would benefit from having a furry friend, though he can also thrive as an only dog given enough attention. Regular exercise, play, and mental stimulation will help him channel his puppy energy. While Collin hasn't been formally tested with cats, he could adapt to a home with one if introductions are slow and supervised. He’s had little exposure to children, but older, respectful kids who are comfortable with a playful pup might be a good fit.
