Meet Tansy! Tansy shines with her silky fawn coat and striking blue eye, paired with a sweet personality that’s irresistible. At approximately 7.5–8 months old, she currently weighs around 50 lbs and is expected to stay under 70 lbs when fully grown. We believe she’s a German Shepherd and Husky mix, though we can’t pinpoint her exact breed without a DNA test. Her journey started off tough; found as a tiny puppy in need of care, she was fortunate to be taken in by a dedicated foster who helped her grow into the vibrant girl she is now. Living in foster homes instead of a shelter, Tansy is eager to find a family that will embrace her for life. Tansy is great with other dogs of various sizes, and she thrives on the companionship of her canine friends, enjoying playtime and wrestling. If her new home has another playful dog, that would be fantastic, but it’s not necessary if her family can provide ample socialization opportunities. This playful pup truly shines with her toys, particularly her beloved plush T-Rex. Tansy loves to express her silly side, and when she’s not busy playing, she happily stays close to her humans. She’s often described as sweet, gentle, and generous with her kisses. Looking for a walking buddy? Tansy makes for a great partner on walks and is well-behaved in the car too. She’d thrive in a family that includes her in daily activities, making time for exercise, play, and mental stimulation. While Tansy has had a good start in a home, she still needs guidance. Her adopters should be prepared to reinforce potty training and basic manners as she acclimates to her new routine. Positive reinforcement will be crucial in helping her learn and grow. Though not formally tested with cats, Tansy can be considered for a home with a feline friend if introductions are handled slowly and carefully. Older, respectful children who can appreciate her playful nature might also be a good match. Ideally, Tansy would love access to a yard to play and explore. A securely fenced yard is preferred, but apartments may also work for the right family ready to meet her activity needs. After overcoming her rough start and waiting for her forever home, Tansy is ready to bring joy and love to a family willing to invest in her growth and happiness. She’s a delightful combination of playfulness, affection, and charm. Health-wise, Tansy is spayed, microchipped, updated on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives.
