About Rio
Rio is a young girl looking for a second chance at happiness. After being left behind with her six puppies when her owner passed away, sheโs ready to start anew. Thanks to kind neighbors, she was brought into the care of Hay Dude Equine Rescue. At around 2 years old and weighing about 55 pounds, Rio is a medium-sized companion looking for a peaceful home. She has a shyer nature when meeting new people, shaped by her time as a street dog. Rio appreciates a slower approach to building trust, so patience is key. She thrives in calm environments and would do well with gentle children who understand how to be respectful and give her space. While she may not rush to greet strangers, she has a delightful, funny side that shines through once she feels safe. Rio also loves car rides, making her an ideal companion for adventures. Sheโs house trained, spayed, and up to date with her vaccinations. Now itโs her turn to find a loving home where she can finally relax and enjoy life. Could you be the one to help her discover happiness? Click apply to start the adoption process.
