About Churro

Churro is a loving 2-year-old neutered male, a blend of Black Mouth Cur and Retriever, currently in a foster home in Austin, Texas. He was surrendered to a county shelter, and while we don’t know his backstory, our guess is that he’s a big-hearted sweetheart. Churro adores playtime but equally enjoys lounging by your side. He’s friendly, welcoming visitors with a happy wiggle and has a flair for cuddling, often seen lounging with his 13-year-old foster sister. This affectionate boy plays well with dogs of all sizes and loves energetic play sessions as well as gentle tug-of-war. He's also a fan of toys, particularly crinkly and squeaky ones, and has a great time splashing in his kiddie pool. Churro is mostly house-trained and has a calm disposition during walks. While he has lived with cats and has generally ignored them, supervision around small animals is essential. Churro seeks an appreciative home where a mix of cuddles, playtime, and quiet relaxation is valued, making him the perfect companion. He may thrive as the only pet or with another compatible dog. This delightful dog is more interested in family snuggles than marathons, just wanting love, a few squeaky toys, and his spot on the couch. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
