About Juice

Juice, affectionately known as Joey by his foster, is a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs about 56 lbs and has soulful eyes that reflect his journey through tough times. This charming boy seeks a calm, loving home to call his own. Juice loves to cuddle and play with his toys, but he thrives on quality time spent quietly with his person, often resting his head and paw on your arm, showing his affection in sweet, subtle ways. Initially shy with new faces, Juice builds trust through slow and gentle introductions. His loyalty once earned is unwavering. He's enjoyed playtime with neighborhood dogs but has grown wary of unfamiliar ones. Juice prefers to be the only dog, as he finds comfort in having the spotlight all to himself. A cat-free home is essential, as he is not compatible with cats and may chase them. With an average energy level, Juice enjoys moderate daily activities. He pulls on the leash when he gets excited, but with patience, he's making progress. Chewing remains a concern when left alone, so he is crated and sleeps soundly through the night. Despite some past accidents in the house, he's housetrained. He’s a great car companion, needing just a little help to hop in. While he's shown some food guarding behavior around other pets, stability and routine have helped him improve. He eats best when separated from other animals. Juice would thrive in a quiet environment with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand his sensitive nature. With love and understanding, Juice will share his whole heart with you.
