Houdini
AvailableHoudini is a small, adult, male Pomeranian mix who has been altered and vaccinated. He is currently in Yellville, AR, and although we don't have his weight or coat length, he is known to have sweet, gentle qualities. Houdini also requires special support given his background.
About Houdini
Houdini is a special boy seeking a very dedicated person. Coming from a hoarding situation with over 50 dogs, he’s had limited positive human interaction. Consequently, he is extremely fearful and undersocialized, still learning that he can trust people. Despite his fears, Houdini has never shown any aggression and doesn’t have biting tendencies. His fear leads him to avoid people rather than lash out. He requires an understanding owner who is prepared to give him the time and space needed to build confidence at his own pace. Houdini finds solace in the company of other dogs and is very dog-friendly. A confident canine companion could help him realize that the world isn't so frightening. An adopter should anticipate a gradual acclimation period and ensure Houdini’s safety, as he might try to escape while adjusting to a new environment. Though Houdini may not be the easiest dog, he is undeniably worth the investment of time and love. Once he feels secure, I truly believe he will blossom into a sweet, cuddly companion who only wants to curl up with his favorite person. He just needs someone willing to support him on this journey.
