About Gelato aka Otto
Meet Gelato, also called Otto! This affectionate 6-year-old Corgi mix has recently gone through a significant life change after losing his owner unexpectedly. Thankfully, his best friend's outreach to RARE ensures that Otto is safe and well-cared for, but he is now in search of a loving family who can provide him with the security he needs. Otto is a sweet companion who thrives on closeness, loving the company of his people. Though he’s past the puppy stage, he’s ready to settle into a stable home. He tends to be a bit uncomfortable around some larger men, so he appreciates those who respect his space and allow him to approach at his own pace. With the right support, his affectionate nature truly shines. This gentle guy needs a bit of patience, especially with new people, but he has plenty of love to give. At six years old, Otto never anticipated looking for a new home. Though his previous person may be gone, he still has countless cuddles and affection to share—and we’re determined that his next chapter will be a happy one. If you’re seeking a loving and gentle companion, Otto is ready to meet you and find his forever home.
