Found a forever home!About Gus Cerebellar Hypoplasia
Meet Gus! This sweet, spunky cat is full of energy and has a charm that’s hard to resist. He loves toys—especially noisy ones—as well as crinkly tunnels and lounging by the fireplace. Gus enjoys the company of other cats and lives harmoniously with three non-CH cats in his foster home. He has a friendly disposition and loves to interact with his favorite people, often engaging in friendly chatter, especially during breakfast time. Gus has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a condition that affects balance and coordination, but he doesn’t let that hold him back. While he can walk a few steps on his own, he primarily scoots along using his strong front legs. Gus loves to play outside, where he attempts to hunt bugs and birds, although catching them is a different story. He’s litterbox trained and maneuvers in and out with ease. Gus will thrive in a cat-safe environment without tall furniture, allowing him to feel secure. His ideal caretaker will understand his unique mobility needs and celebrate the joyful spirit he exudes. He does best in a home that can offer a little extra care and attention, including occasional baths. The adoption process involves two meetings to ensure a good fit, with the first two weeks serving as a trial to guarantee he adapts well to his new family. Gus is around one year old, neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find his forever home. Seeking a loving family that values his quirks and strengths will make all the difference in his life.
