About Virgilio
Forever home needed! Meet Virgilio, an 8-month-old Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier mix currently in foster care. Weighing in at 40 lbs, he embodies playfulness, sweetness, and an undeniable snuggly nature. Known affectionately as “Trip,” he loves nothing more than to flop down at your feet, soaking up all the belly rubs he can get. Virgilio enjoys toys and bones, but what he cherishes most is playing with other dogs. He’s a smart pup, eager to please and motivated by treats—though slow-feeding is a must to keep his classic Lab appetite in check. At first, he may be a bit shy around new experiences, but with his human’s support, he’s building confidence quickly. An ideal home for Virgilio would include another confident dog to play with. He gets along wonderfully with his foster sister, even when treats are involved. While he hasn’t met any cats yet, his low prey drive suggests he might coexist well with them. Virgilio is crate trained, house trained, and picking up his basic commands nicely. This loyal cuddle bug has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. He’s ready to find his forever family where he can truly flourish. Your new best friend is just one click away.
