About Peanut
Peanut is currently located in Texas, ready to find a loving home. This 1.5-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix weighs around 20 pounds. Rescued from a hoarding situation along with 80 other dogs, Peanut had a challenging start but is now thriving in his foster home. He is enthusiastic about life and enjoys every moment, especially when he has toys to play with and other dogs to chase. Peanut has a playful, high-energy nature and is learning to navigate the world outside of the rescue. Heβs made great progress in his foster care, mastering commands like sit and down. However, heβs still on his journey to complete house training, so his new owner should be patient and understanding of occasional accidents. Peanut loves to explore, so a little supervision is needed when heβs left alone. He thrives in a home with at least teens or older children, and while he has not been tested with cats, a friendly dog companion would be beneficial for his development. An active family who enjoys outdoor adventures, hikes, or even dog sports would be a wonderful fit for him. Peanut is looking for someone who will invest in his journey, providing the consistency, love, and structure he needs to flourish as a beloved pet. If youβre ready to give Peanut the fresh start he deserves, letβs get started with the adoption process!
