About Raven

Raven is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. This spirited 2.5-year-old spayed female Retriever mix weighs 47 pounds and is brimming with energy and personality. She's smart, curious, and full of affection, making her a delightful companion for an active person or family. Raven loves to play and gets along well with dogs in the 66-70 lbs range, sharing infectious enthusiasm during playtime. However, she may get overstimulated around other dogs on leash, so her new family should be ready to help her refine her leash manners. Though she can be a bit apprehensive with new people, once she’s comfortable, she shows her sweet side and craves affection. Currently, Raven is still learning some boundaries. While she has found a safe space in her crate, she may whine when initially going in. She can also be a bit destructive if left unsupervised, so supervision is important. Car rides make her nervous, as she hasn't yet figured out that the seats can be a cozy spot. Raven would do best in a space where she can run and explore, like a farm or a home with ample outdoor activities. This clever girl is looking for someone patient and committed to helping her grow into the amazing dog she can be. If you’re ready for a loving adventure buddy, Raven might be your perfect match!
