Currently residing in Austin, MN, Ahri awaits a gentle and patient adopter who can help her feel secure in her new home.

Ahri came to the shelter on August 7, 2026, after being surrendered by her owners who faced significant life changes. This mature 7 to 8-year-old white German Shepherd mix has likely inherited traits from both Labrador and Husky breeds, giving her a unique character. Our team has been giving her the time she needs to adjust, and we believe she's ready to find a stable and loving home. Ahri is shy and nervous, which is understandable given her recent experiences. She requires an experienced adopter who can provide a secure environment. While she won't be the type to eagerly jump into your lap right away, with patience and understanding, she will become a loyal companion. Ahri has had basic training and gets along well with dogs of similar size. She's also been good with children. However, we are unsure about her interactions with cats. Ahri has been spayed and microchipped, and she is house trained. We will ensure she is fully vet-checked and up-to-date on vaccinations soon.
