About Marlene

Meet Marlene, a sweet and hard-of-hearing girl who’s approximately 12 years old and weighs around 17 lbs. This gentle soul came to Mostly Mutts looking for a new home and is currently thriving in a caring foster environment. Marlene loves being close to her people, happily following them around the house, and is a true lap dog at heart. She enjoys snuggling and spending quality time with her family, making her an ideal companion for those who work from home or are home often. While Marlene came into the rescue with another dog, she’s selective about her canine friends and would do best with a calm dog. Cats are unknown, and she hasn’t had much experience with kids yet, but gentle children who understand her needs would be welcome. Just keep in mind that very young kids might be too energetic for her, given her calm demeanor. Marlene may need some extra time to adjust to new people, especially men, due to her hearing loss. Though she doesn’t know commands yet, Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes, so you can work on that together if you’d like. She’s doing quite well with her potty manners, but expect occasional accidents as she adjusts. Marlene is also on medication that aids her incontinence, which has been beneficial. This lovely senior lady is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to be your devoted companion. She is currently available for adoption with a fee of $100.
