About Tigger
Meet Tigger! This strikingly handsome orange cat has a lively spirit and a heart just waiting to blossom. Tigger is a fun, energetic guy who loves to embrace his natural feline instincts. He thrives when he has plenty of outlets for his energy, whether that’s stalking a feather wand, pouncing on toy mice, or leaping after a laser pointer. Daily play sessions, channeling his inner hunter, keep his mind sharp and his spirit happy! Moving to a new environment can be overwhelming for him. Tigger experiences stress during big transitions and needs a patient adopter who can give him the time he needs to feel secure. To help Tigger transition smoothly, he needs a dedicated "home base" when he arrives at his new home—a quiet room equipped with his essentials like food, water, and a litter box. Let him have a couple of hours alone to explore and decompress before initiating interaction. Patience is key; allowing him to set the pace for affection will help build trust. Tigger requires daily opportunities to engage in typical cat behaviors—like stalking, pouncing, climbing, and playing. With a gentle start, daily enrichment, and a little patience, Tigger will reward his forever family with endless fun and loyalty! Tigger is neutered, up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations, and FIV and FeLV negative. This playful companion is currently at the Heartland Facility in Wheeling, IL. Stop by during our open hours to meet him!
