About Cocoa

Cocoa is a charming dark gray tabby who, at 12 years old, still has a lot of love to give. After losing his beloved owner, he understandably feels shy in his new surroundings, but with a little time and patience, he warms up beautifully. Once he settles in and feels safe, Cocoa enjoys attention, loves being petted, and has quite a lot to say—he's a real talker! He has lived harmoniously with another cat and appears to enjoy feline company, making him a great candidate for a home with a friendly kitty. Cocoa does have a heart murmur, but recent testing indicates no significant strain on his heart. He also has a benign eosinophilic granuloma on his tongue, which has been managed for years without causing him distress in his eating habits. While Cocoa may need some extra time to adjust, he is a sweet, affectionate boy eager to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished once again.
