Meet Bersa! Bersa is a sweet, smart, loving girl who just needs a little time to show you her true self. At a year and a half old, she weighs around 12 pounds. Bersa came into rescue with a broken leg, but thanks to the wonderful care from her foster parent, she has made a remarkable recovery. Before adoption, she will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. When meeting new people or arriving in unfamiliar surroundings, Bersa can be shy. Her instinct is to find a quiet, safe spot to hide while she takes everything in. However, with some patience and reassurance, she warms up quickly and becomes a loyal companion. Once comfortable, Bersa is incredibly affectionate, loving to be close to her humans. She’s energetic, playful, and would thrive in an active household, possibly even with children. Bersa is quite the smart cookie with good manners; she knows where to sit during mealtime and waits patiently until given the go-ahead to eat. Currently, she hasn’t shown much interest in toys, likely due to having worn a cone during her recovery. Now that she’s free from it, we're eager to see her playful side blossom. She has not been destructive or chewed on anything she shouldn’t. Bersa is still learning that her foster home is a safe place. Occasionally, she seeks out cozy hiding spots when things get noisy or unfamiliar. She’d do best with a family who understands her need for space and patience as she adjusts.
