Charlie is a senior male Yorkshire Terrier, small in size. He is sweet and house trained. Though vaccinated and neutered, he does not get along with children. Located in Petersburg, VA, Charlie is ready to charm his new family with his quirky personality.

About Charlie

Charlie has made himself at home in the shelter, often found lounging on an office desk amid paperwork, as if he manages the place. This ten-year-old Yorkshire Terrier has a charming gold face, a scruffy beard, and ears that seem to have a mind of their own. After undergoing treatment for flea dermatitis, his coat is currently growing back, promising to be fluffier in the near future. As a small dog, Charlie enjoys his perch up high where he can observe everything around him. He thrives in a quiet adult home where he can cozy up on the couch and take charge of his environment. While he's affectionate with those he knows, he prefers to take his time with new people. Due to his size, he is not a fan of larger dogs and would feel most secure in a home without them. It's also important that he is leashed during outdoor excursions, as he is quite agile and can easily escape a fenced area. Interested in adopting?
