About Phoenix
Phoenix is a young and lively dog searching for his forever home. Currently fostered in Virginia, he’s ready to be transported to an approved adopter. This playful boy combines the attributes of a Black Labrador Retriever and Husky, displaying a big personality with even bigger affection. At about 74 pounds, he’s crate trained and housebroken, though he’s still polishing his leash manners. An energetic teenager, he thrives on playtime and loves running around. Phoenix enjoys the company of dogs his size, like his buddy Apollo, and is friendly with people, including young children. While he’s curious about new dogs, he prefers to take his time adjusting and likes personal space. Although he doesn’t bark or act aggressively, he isn't fond of dog parks or daycares and would flourish in a home with another similar-sized companion. Phoenix is fully house and crate trained, often choosing to nap in his crate during the day. He’s gentle and playful with children, has no food aggression, and adores his toys, particularly a squirrel plush. While he prefers being with a canine friend, consistent socialization and exercise are crucial to keeping his spirits high. He seeks an active home that can provide daily play, structure, and companionship. Ready to welcome Phoenix into your life? Click apply to start the adoption process.
