About Rue

Meet Rue, a delightful three-year-old Bernedoodle who is looking for her forever home. Rue came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue after her family could no longer keep her. With her upcoming birthday on December 10th, she’s ready to celebrate with a loving family! Rue weighs about 58 pounds and has a charming personality. She thrives on companionship, enjoys being around people, and is playful and full of fun. She gets along well with both big and small dogs and has shown a friendly demeanor towards cats, although her curiosity may lead her to explore counter-tops. When her people are away, Rue does well in her crate, and at night, she loves to snuggle up next to you. House-trained and low-shedding, Rue will fit in nicely with active families who can offer her affection and attention. She enjoys walks on a leash, is great in a fenced yard, and rides quietly in the car. Rue is looking for a home where she won't be left alone for long periods, with humans who appreciate a sweet girl with a touch of playful mischief. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
