Fenix is a charming young dog, around 1.5 years old, who brings joy to his foster home in Sioux Falls, SD. He is playful and enjoys spending time with both kids and other animals; he currently lives with a 9-year-old and gets along well with cats and dogs. This sweet boy has a fun-loving personality. You'll find him sometimes sleeping on his back with his paws up, a sight that’s sure to make you smile. He loves belly rubs, car rides to get pup cups, and going for walks, where he's working on his leash manners. Fenix enjoys playing with balls and is currently being trained in fetch, although tug-of-war isn’t his thing. Fenix is smart and has already learned commands like "kennel," "sit," and "down." He does display some initial anxiety but settles well with a consistent routine. He can be a bit picky about treats; he prefers dog-friendly whipped cream, deli meats, and gourmet dog food to standard snacks. While Fenix is house trained and crate trained, he does need a fenced yard for safe play. With his loving demeanor and moderate to high energy, he’s sure to bring happiness to his future home.
