About Dusty

Meet Dusty! This adorable mixed-breed pup recently arrived at the Animal Friends Rescue Project from San Jose Animal Care Center. Now, he's ready to find his forever home! Dusty is a happy and confident young dog, always eager for his next adventure. He enjoys walks, loves playing with toys, and cherishes cuddle time with his favorite people. Dusty thrives on companionship and is happiest by your side, whether exploring outdoors or relaxing at home. One of his delightful quirks is spinning in circles when he's excited; he is sure to keep his family entertained. Once he burns off some energy, Dusty is more than happy to settle down for quality cuddle time and might even sneak a few affectionate kisses. His social demeanor shines as he confidently approaches new faces, asking for pets with enthusiasm. Dusty is also smart and has mastered basic commands like "sit." At night, he settles comfortably in his crate and is making great strides with his house training. His new family should be ready to support him in this progress. Dusty can be a bit grumbly with other dogs on leash, so his adopter will need to continue working with him on calm interactions. At home, he would thrive alongside a friendly dog companion that matches his playful energy. While he hasn't been tested with cats, his ideal situation includes adult adopters or families with dog-savvy children over six years old. Ready to meet Dusty? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
