Cheese is a gentle soul who has finally begun to learn what it feels like to be safe and loved. Once severely neglected, he arrived at West Valley Animal Rescue in rough shape but is now ready for a new chapter in his life. This gorgeous Aussiedoodle had his matted coat shaved short, but it will soon grow back, revealing the beautiful dog underneath. Crate trained and adept at using a dog door, Cheese enjoys playing in the water and is wonderful with other dogs and children. He does not chase cats and has shown no signs of aggression. However, he can be shy when meeting new people, particularly adult males due to a history of abuse. Patience is key as he rediscovers trust in humans, especially with any man in the household who should approach him gently.
