This lovely 44-pound girl is believed to be an Aussiedoodle mix, and she represents the amazing transformation that love and care can bring. Shaggy arrived in rescue after being abandoned in St. Louis, severely matted and in need of a complete shave. Despite her rough start, she has embraced her new life, showcasing a playful and affectionate personality. Initially a bit shy, she has blossomed into a joyful and friendly dog who enjoys meeting new people. This sweetheart gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, making her an ideal companion for any family. Shaggy is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She's quietly content, rarely barking, and she's particularly food motivated, quickly dashing into her crate at mealtime. Although she arrived needing to gain weight, she's now approaching her ideal weight of around 45–46 pounds. Witnessing Shaggy’s journey from a timid, matted pup to a vibrant, confident girl has been incredibly rewarding. All she needs now is a loving family dedicated to her continued happiness.
