Sweet Ms. Anita is looking for her forever home! This lovely Labrador Retriever and Shepherd mix is about 4 years old. Weighing in at around 49 lbs, Ms. Anita boasts a beautiful coat and the charming quirk of one ear up and one ear down. She gets along well with other dogs, but it seems that she would do best in a home without cats. While we haven't observed her with kids, we're open to discussing integration techniques with prospective adopters. Currently situated in a shelter in South Carolina, Ms. Anita is in urgent need of a foster or permanent home to come to Washington, DC. This lucky girl is undergoing heartworm treatment, which is not contagious, and after recovery, she can enjoy a normal life full of love and adventure with her new family. Ms. Anita has a sweet disposition and is ready to bring joy to a household where she can receive plenty of affection, regular walks, and nutritious food.
