Java is a handsome 9-year-old, 14-pound gentleman looking for a quieter place to spend his golden years. If your idea of the perfect cat is chill, cuddly, curious, and always ready to warm your lap, Java may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. This laid-back guy enjoys life's simple pleasures: watching the world from a sunny window, playing with his toys, and curling up for quality cuddle time. He’s litterbox trained and even seems to respond to his name—call “Java!” and you may have 14 pounds of love headed your way. Java has had limited experience with other animals, but his previous encounters with cats and dogs have been peaceful. He's a bit cautious or skittish when uncertain, not aggressive. He’s now with us due to his family growing; a rambunctious toddler and another baby on the way made their home too busy for this mellow guy. Though he has never been physically aggressive, he communicates when feeling overwhelmed with a warning hiss. At nine, Java isn’t seeking chaos or adventure.
