About Hobo Bo
A recent Facebook post alerted the community to a sick and injured cat behind a local Dunkinā. He had an ear tip, meaning he was part of a managed colony, but not one of ours. Out of respect, we waitedābecause when you care for a colony, you know and love each cat, and sometimes treatment is already underway. When no one came forward, we reached out to the good Samaritan who posted for help, Caitlyn Hunt. Thanks to her persistence, we were able to connect with Hobo Boās caretakerāa kind woman who feeds many cats in the area. With her blessing, we retrapped this big, golden boy and got him the vet care he desperately needed. We learned that Hobo Bo (also known as Big Yellow) is FIV+ and likely suffering facial injuries from fights. It can take time for neutered tomcats to adjust, but despite his rough appearance, heās shown us just how incredibly sweet he is. His eye and face wounds are being treated. We can foster him a short while only. Because of the community that rallied for himāthe person who first noticed him, Caitlyn for speaking up, the caretaker for her ongoing dedication, the people who kindly made donations, and our volunteers for providing careāHobo Bo now has a real chance at a better life. Instead of going back to the streets, weād love to find him a forever home where he can be cherished as much as he deserves. Interested in opening your heart to Hobo Bo? Send us a messageāweād love to introduce you. Apply: https://form.jotform.com/240778209099165 Ask us about our foster-to-adopt program.
