McDermott is a lively puppy who delights in basking in the sunshine while his foster works nearby. Curious and affectionate, he enjoys being included in whatever activities are happening, whether that's exploring the garden or eagerly anticipating playtime once he recovers fully. This mixed-breed pup has a heartwarming story. Rescued after being hit by a car, he was found struggling to stand, but thanks to a Good Samaritan’s quick actions, he received life-saving treatment. Now, he’s recovering in a medical foster home and gaining strength daily. McDermott loves interacting with other dogs and has made friends with the resident barnyard animals. He’s particularly fond of the cat, keeps a respectful distance from the goats, and is curiously attentive to the chickens. This adaptable little guy listens well and is learning quickly. Once he’s medically cleared, expect a fun-loving companion eager for adventures. He can settle comfortably on his own, making him a promising addition to a working household. While McDermott is not yet ready to go home, pre-approval applications are being accepted. This playful dog is bound to bring joy to Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue. He is also available for transport to the Brattleboro, VT area, accommodating adopters throughout Vermont and its neighboring regions. Most adopters tend to be within a 1 to 2-hour drive for pickup logistics arranged at the time of adoption. This could be the start of something paw-some.
