About Shirley

Shirley is currently in Texas but ready for adoption anywhere! This charming 9-week-old female Pitty mix brings her gentle spirit and playful nature into any home. At first, she can be a little reserved, taking a moment to gather her courage and explore new surroundings. Once she settles in, her curious side bursts forth, making her a joy to watch as she interacts with her environment. Fostered in Austin, Shirley is learning about the world around her with her five siblings. They were fortunate enough to be rescued right before being euthanized in a Houston city shelter. With her mom weighing around 40 pounds, Shirley is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Being still so young, Shirley isn't potty trained yet and will need guidance. A family with someone home more often will really benefit this little one as she establishes her routines, builds confidence, and learns social skills. Additionally, a friendly, experienced canine companion in the household would be a great help as she learns how to be a well-adjusted dog. Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment filled with early challenges but rewards worth every moment. Shirley is ready to embark on this journey with the right family. Don’t miss your opportunity!
