About Moose
Meet Moose, a 10-month-old Cane Corso weighing in at 77 lbs. He may be the biggest among his siblings, but don't let his size intimidate you—he’s a big, wiggly puppy still figuring out his long limbs. Moose was brought to the shelter when his previous owner could no longer care for him, and he’s ready to learn all about life beyond his prior fenced yard. Once comfortable, Moose is a happy-go-lucky goof who craves affection and loves being close to his trusted humans. He is very dog friendly and has grown up around several other dogs. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, with proper introductions, he’s expected to do well. Moose is also anticipated to be a good fit for families with respectful children. That said, he still needs guidance in several areas, such as leash walking, potty training, and socialization. Moose is looking for someone who understands that patience and careful introductions to new experiences can help him thrive. He needs someone committed to nurturing his confidence and helping him adapt positively to varied environments. Cane Corsos can grow into powerful guardian dogs as they mature, and Moose is no exception. Given his unique breed characteristics, prior experience with large breeds or working dogs is strongly preferred. If you’re new to dog ownership, a commitment to working with a qualified trainer will be necessary to ensure Moose develops into a well-rounded companion. Moose is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is currently waived until 10/17/26, making it the perfect time to consider bringing this playful pup into your home. Let’s help Moose grow into the outstanding dog he has the potential to be! Click apply to start the adoption process.
