About Delia

Meet Delia, a 10-month-old Cane Corso who currently weighs about 50 pounds and is still growing! Delia and her siblings found themselves in the shelter after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Although she carries the big breed name, Delia is more of a gentle giant with a sweet, timid personality. When meeting new people or new experiences, Delia might shy away at first and even freeze, but given some time, she'll blossom into a wiggly, affectionate companion eager for love and attention. She gets along well with other dogs and is expected to be good with respectful children. Delia hasn't met any cats yet, but given her gentle demeanor, we're hopeful she can adjust with proper introductions. Delia is still on a journey to learn how to be a confident dog. She's never walked on a leash before and needs patience with basics like potty training and socialization. Owners with experience in handling powerful breeds, like Rottweilers or Doberman Pinschers, are preferred. However, if you’re committed to training alongside a professional, Delia may be a great fit for you. With the right guidance and encouragement, Delia has unlimited potential to become an incredible companion. Already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home, Delia is waiting in Rochester, IN for someone who recognizes her sweet nature and is willing to help her grow into the amazing dog she can be.
