About Java

Java is a charming 9-year-old, 14-pound gentleman seeking a serene home to enjoy his golden years. If you envision a cat that’s laid-back, cuddly, curious, and always eager for a warm lap, Java might be the perfect match for you. This mellow guy relishes the simple pleasures in life—watching the world from a sunny windowsill, playing with his toys, and curling up with someone special. He’s fully litterbox trained and even responds to his name. Just call "Java!" and get ready for a loving companion. Though he has limited experience with other pets, Java has had peaceful interactions with both cats and dogs. He tends to be skittish rather than confrontational when uncertain, making him a gentle presence. Java is coming to us due to changing family dynamics. With a bustling household, including a toddler and another baby on the way, his previous family realized their home is too chaotic for this tranquil character. While he has never been aggressive with children, he does communicate his discomfort with a gentle hiss if feeling overwhelmed. His family wants him to find a nurturing environment where he can be relaxed and loved. At his age, Java seeks comfort, not chaos. He's hoping for a cozy lap, a good view from the window, some fun toys, and people who appreciate the joy of having a big, easygoing companion. Java deserves a pampered life as someone's cherished cat once more. Click apply to start the adoption process.
