About Mama

Mama has a heart as big as her 59-pound frame, and those adorable ears are impossible to resist! She is a playful 2-year-old female German Shepherd mix with a sleek black coat and the funniest big ears that flop toward each other right on top of her head. Rescued as a stray, Mama had recently nursed a litter, which sadly did not survive. Initially, she was in shock and showed signs of depression, but a loving foster home helped her blossom back to life. Now, Mama thrives with other dogs and enjoys their company. She's also good with kids, making her an ideal family companion. While her experience with cats is still a mystery, she takes comfort in her crate, seeing it as a cozy space to relax. Currently, her house training, crate training, and leash manners are all in progress. Mama does require some extra TLC, patience, and time to adjust to a new home environment, but given her past of caring for others, it's her turn to be loved. Structure and routine will be key for her, as she thrives on consistency. She’s ready to share her infectious spirit and silly ears with a family that will give her the soft landing she deserves.
