About Claire
Claire is an auburn-haired beauty who radiates joy. She loves playing, adores people, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Don't let her solid 30-pound figure fool you; she'll often position herself right in front of you, just waiting for a chance to trip you up, which is part of her charm! Claire is a fantastic match for an active family, especially one with kids. Right now, she is heartworm positive and needs treatment, but the good news is that the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio will cover it. Treatment will take place at one of our local vets, so she needs to stay within the Austin or San Antonio area. Think of this as quality cuddle time—she can't engage in strenuous activities during her recovery, so you’ll get plenty of chances to bond. Even though Claire is still young at just 2 years old, she's learning about separation and does get a bit anxious when left alone, often crying for about 30 minutes before settling down. She’s crate trained but would much prefer to sleep right next to you. To adopt Claire, you'll need an approved application. Those interested should reach out via email. Let's make Claire's next chapter her best one yet!
