About Amani

Meet Amani! This handsome 45 lb Husky mix has a big heart and a playful spirit, with an impressive knack for getting as close as possible when cuddle time rolls around. Amani is a blend of an active adventure buddy and an affectionate sidekick. He loves walks, playing with his squeaky toys, and being involved in everything his humans do. Specifically, he goes wild for squeaky toys and tennis balls—just be prepared for some zoomies when a ball hits the ground. Once the excitement subsides, he’s perfectly content to settle next to you with a chew toy, though you might find him in your lap before long. Amani’s already learned basic commands like sit and lie down, walks well on a leash, and is always eager to follow his people to prevent them from having too much fun without him. He is not only potty and crate-trained, but also neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s great with kids and does well with dogs that share his playful energy. However, no cats for this pup—Amani needs a feline-free home. A fenced yard would be ideal since he loves to run and stretch his legs. Right now, Amani is heartworm positive but is receiving treatment to ensure he gets the healthy future he deserves. If you’re after a dog who can bring laughter, join you on adventures, and then curl up cozy beside you, Amani might be your perfect match. He’s eager for a family to call his own, just without any cats around. Amani is currently in Texas but can be transported to approved adopters in the Midwest, Northeast, and Canada.
