About Sky

Meet Sky: From Pancake to Puppy! Sky is a spirited 4-month-old yellow Labrador Retriever who has overcome remarkable challenges in her young life. Born with a congenital condition known as Swimmer’s Syndrome, she didn’t receive early physical therapy, which led her to spend her early days lying flat on her belly. But everything changed when she joined our rescue. With the help of a quad cart and a dedicated physical therapist, Sky embarked on her journey to standing and eventually running. Today, she’s an energetic little explorer, eager to experience every scent and sound around her. Sky is not just an adorable puppy; she is a testament to resilience. Her forever family must be committed to supporting her continued physical and mental development. Beyond just providing a loving home, they will need to continue her therapy and exercises, nurturing her strength and confidence as she grows. Sky gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children. She’s ready for the next chapter of her life, one that needs families willing to invest in her future. We will be very selective in placing Sky, ensuring her perfect fit, and we are looking for adopters who understand her special needs. Sky has worked incredibly hard to reach this point, and she deserves a family that will help her keep soaring. Are you ready to make her your forever companion? Adoption applications are available at rpaw.org.
