Meet Church! Church is a 2-year-old, 63 lb boy who has made remarkable progress since arriving at the shelter. He was found as a stray near Friendly Baptist Church, wandering for several days before our Animal Control picked him up. Upon arrival, he had a large gash on his head, but thankfully that injury has completely healed, giving him a charming little Harry Potter scar. He was initially trembling and scared but has since warmed up to the staff and volunteers, revealing more of his delightful personality each day. Church appears house trained and absolutely adores stuffed toys. Hand him a toy, and you'll see him happily squeaking and prancing around the yard. He's also very treat motivated and takes treats gently, making him a joy to work with. Church is always excited to see the other dogs at the shelter, loving to interact with them through the fence. He’s ready to continue coming out of his shell and would thrive in a supportive environment. It's recommended to bring any resident dogs for a meet-and-greet, along with proof of vaccinations. To meet or adopt Church, visit us in Greensboro, NC, from 12-4 pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
