About Seal

Meet Seal! She's a 3-year-old, 39 lb girl with a beautiful brindle coat who came to the shelter as a stray. Initially shy and uncertain, Seal has transformed remarkably with patience and encouragement. She recently enjoyed a day away from the shelter, proving how well she can thrive outside her comfort zone. Seal walked beautifully on a leash, loved swimming, played with toys, and was a perfect passenger on the way back. Once she feels at home, Seal is very affectionate, snuggling up next to her people. She knows "sit," is treat motivated, and interacts well with other dogs, displaying a lower-energy play style. It's important to note that she would thrive in a home without small children due to her timid nature with new people and environments. Watching Seal gain confidence has been truly rewarding. Now, she's ready for a loving family who can help her continue to grow. If you have other dogs, we recommend they meet Seal before adoption. To meet her, visit the Guilford County Animal Shelter in Greensboro, NC, any day except Tuesdays from 12-4pm; no appointment is needed. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
