Winston has faced some challenges on the streets and has even been attacked by another stray dog. Still, he’s a sweetheart at heart, eager for love and cuddles. In his crate, Winston feels safe and secure. He walks nicely on a leash and has taken a liking to neighborhood strolls. While he's cautious around new people, a few treats can win him over. Winston prefers lounging to playing and can peacefully share space with calm dogs. However, due to his reserved nature, a home without kids or high-energy dogs would suit him best. He’s been great with cats. Winston will need some help with basic commands and house training as he adjusts to his new environment. His past experiences mean it might take him a little time to feel completely comfortable, but once settled, this loyal companion will be there for all the cuddles you need. Winston is arriving from Texas to Minnesota on 10/10, and he will require pickup from Ruff Start Rescue in Princeton, MN between 8:30 AM and 11 AM. Since he hasn’t arrived yet, he’s available only through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt program. Once he’s settled, he can access any necessary veterinary care provided by the rescue.
