Ted
AvailableTed is a 1-year-old male Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, weighing 8.5 lbs. His beautiful coat is medium in length, and he sports a lovely blend of brown and white colors. Ted is altered and up to date on vaccinations, but he is still learning the ropes of house training. Currently located in Cedarburg, WI, he is good with other dogs and is looking for a patient home that can help him blossom.
About Ted
Ted needs a foster or adopter to help him on his journey to a new life in Wisconsin. He comes from a situation in Mississippi where he lived with about 40 other Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes, and it’s time for him to discover what a loving home feels like. At just 1 year old, Ted is ready for a fresh start but may need some time to adjust to new experiences after spending his life in a crowded environment. When he arrives in Cedarburg, WI, Ted may be shy and overwhelmed by all the changes. A patient family is essential to help him settle in and build his confidence. Understanding that he may not come out of his shell right away is key; he’ll need reassurance, love, and the time to learn he is safe. Ted will also require guidance with the basics of being a house dog, including potty training, crate training, and leash walking, so a nurturing approach is necessary. Having another friendly dog around could help him feel more comfortable during this transition. Ted deserves a chance to experience love and safety as part of a family. If you can offer him the space and patience he needs, don't hesitate to apply to foster or adopt. This could be the start of something wonderful for both of you. What are you waiting for? Questions about Ted
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Ted, as a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, typically thrives in a cozy home environment. He’s likely to do well in both apartments and houses, but a space that’s calm and not overly bustling will help him adjust better.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Typically, a small yard or nearby parks for short walks will suffice for Ted. Given his size and young age, he can enjoy playtime in modest spaces, especially as he gains confidence.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
It's unclear how Ted will react to children, so a home with older, gentle kids who can understand his needs would be ideal as he adjusts.
