About Lou

Lou needs a new home after her owner had a fall and can no longer care for her. This lovely 5-year-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix weighs a bit more than ideal at 80 pounds, and the vet suggests she could shed a few. Although she is house and kennel trained, she prefers some company outside when it’s time to go potty. Lou is playful and enjoys the company of other dogs, but she does display some food aggression, requiring separate feeding. She’s okay with cats and adores kids. Smart and eager to please, Lou knows basic commands like sit, shake, and down. After battling heartworm, she is now heartworm negative and ready for a loving home. We hope to find Lou a forever family but will also settle for a temporary foster while she transitions. If you think Lou could be a fit for your family, please complete the application.
