About Maple

Maple's ears arrive a few seconds before the rest of her, and they're usually perked up, ready for her next adventure. Maple and her sister Chai were abandoned in a yard in South Gate, covered in fleas, until a kind-hearted foster rescued them. Now, at about 7 months and 7.5 pounds, this Chihuahua is expected to grow to around 8 to 10 pounds. With her white and cream short coat and a charming speckled nose, Maple is the more curious of the two sisters. There's a playful energy in her, always eager to explore. Once she's done investigating, she craves affection, whether it's sitting on your lap, lying beside you, or resting her little head on your knee. When she flops over with her belly up, it’s an invitation for a rub, and she fully expects it! Though sometimes skittish, with a little patience, she'll thrive in a loving home where she has space to explore and a lap for snuggles. Older kids to play with would make her even happier.
