Meet Louie. Louie is an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso mix weighing in at 17 pounds. While he enjoys his strolls, he could benefit from shedding a few pounds. This senior gentleman is sociable with other dogs, and we think he would adjust well to a household with cats. He’s also fine with respectful children who can appreciate that older dogs deserve a little extra gentleness. Louie may occasionally pretend he doesn’t hear you, but he’s ready for the right kind of attention. He does need a safe, secure yard or a dedicated leash-walker, and he is crate-trained, though we believe he would be perfectly happy on his own. He had a few accidents when he first joined us, but he has settled in well with a good routine. Regular grooming is essential for this handsome little guy to keep him looking his best. Though he’s faced some challenges, Louie has no health issues and is simply looking for a new home after the loss of his previous owner. What he really desires is a warm, soft spot to rest, some leisurely walks, and a bit of affection from someone who will cherish him for the time he has left.
