While Lewis hasn't been with people long, he is learning quickly and is fully vaccinated. He needs a loving home where he can continue to grow and gain confidence. Lewis gets along well with other dogs and is showing great promise with house training and crate training.

Meet Lewis! At 4 months old and 18 pounds, this handsome Aussie mix has a gentle soul and an adventurous spirit. Lewis didn’t have the easiest start to life. Raised in the woods with very little human interaction, he's learning to trust people slowly. He needs a patient family willing to let him blossom at his own pace. Though initially shy, each day Lewis grows a little bolder. Once he feels safe, he welcomes gentle pets and will surprise you with the occasional snuggle. Witnessing his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. When he was rescued, Lewis was suffering from mange, leaving him with very little hair. Thanks to proper care and love, his coat is growing in more every day. We look forward to seeing what he’ll look like with a full coat! Lewis has already learned to use the dog door and is making strides with potty training, crate, and leash training. He thrives on consistency and positive reinforcement. This loving pup adores other dogs and would do best in a home with a confident canine friend to help him understand that people aren’t so scary. A securely fenced yard is essential, as Lewis's curious nature might lead to unexpected adventures. He may not leap into your arms on day one, but for the family willing to earn his trust, he'll grow into a loyal companion. The most rewarding relationships often take time to nurture.
