About Licorice

Meet Licorice, a delightful black Domestic Shorthair with striking golden-amber eyes. His journey began in a chaotic moment on Barnum Road, where kind passersby shielded him from oncoming traffic until our dedicated volunteer, Lauren, arrived. Licorice didn’t hesitate; he climbed into her car, ready for a change of fate. This little guy has shown remarkable resilience despite his recent stress. Affectionate and gentle, he’s quickly adjusting to life in the shelter, happy to be safe after his adventure. His serious expression in photos belies his sweet nature as he takes in his new surroundings. Currently on a 5-day stray hold, we hope his original owner will come forward. If he’s still with us after that time, he’ll be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, ready to find a loving home. Licorice has a calm demeanor, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving and friendly feline. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet black cat into your life, keep an eye on this handsome boy. Your new best friend is just one click away.
