Max was profoundly loved by his previous owner, who cherished him deeply. At about 5 years old, Max was a beloved companion until cancer treatment took a tragic turn when his mom unexpectedly passed away. Now, through no fault of his own, this large mixed-breed dog needs a new home. Max is an absolute delight. He's house trained and leash trained, has lived with other dogs, and gets along well with children. He rides beautifully in the car and has been described as a total gentleman. Whether he’s playing with his canine friends or lounging on the couch with you, Max adapts to every situation. During his mom’s illness, Max provided comforting companionship by resting his big head in her lap, staying close when she needed him most.
