About Ava

Ava is a lovely 5-year-old Shiba Inu looking for her forever home at Shiba Rescue of New Jersey. After spending most of her life in a puppy mill in Kentucky, she is discovering the meaning of love and comfort. In a nurturing foster environment, Ava has shown herself to be gentle and affectionate, delighting in companionship when she feels safe. She enjoys the company of other dogs and shares her space easily, notably forming a bond with a Boxer named Haven. This social side shines through when she is around her dog friends; her energy and happiness come alive, making her a joy to be around. Ava loves to bask in the sun, observe the outside world from her favorite spot by the door, and even chat a bit when she's hungry. Patience and time are what Ava needs as she adjusts to her new life. With a securely fenced yard and a heart open to her journey, you’ll find that earning her trust is a deeply rewarding experience. Ava is spayed, vaccinated, and house trained. She is ready to embark on her next chapter. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
