About Rocko

Meet Rocko, a spirited pittie mix looking for a new loving home. Rocko was adopted as a puppy but had to return to the shelter when his family could no longer care for him. As a young dog, he has all the enthusiasm typical for his age; he needs an active home that can provide both mental and physical stimulation. While he's lived with children before, his playful nature might overwhelm little ones, so older, sturdier kids would be a better match. Rocko has not lived with dogs but enjoys playdates, so potential canine companions must meet him at the shelter first. He has no known history with cats. Rocko is house trained and is used to being crated at night. He prefers a home where someone is often around during the day. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is excited to offer “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption—a $200 training voucher aimed at helping you and your new furry friend build a strong relationship. If you’d like to meet Rocko, please arrive before 4:00 PM to allow time for discussions and introductions. Start your journey together with Rocko today!
